CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 73-192 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TENTATIVELY ADOPTING A REVISED <br /> GENERAL PLAN FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />W~EREAS, the City Council, at their meeting of September 16, 1968, <br /> adopted the City's first G%~eral Plan; and <br /> <br />~4EREAS, the growth of th~ City since the adoption of the original <br /> <br /> General Plan has necessitated a revision to the original <br /> 1968 General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, I subsequent to that date, the legislature has amended <br /> Sections 65300, et seq., of the Government Code pertain- <br /> ing to the elements to be included in the General Plan; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, among these elements is a conservation-open space element <br /> which must be adopted by the City Council by January 1, <br /> 1974; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the General Plan revision will be subjected to an eco- <br /> nomic analysis in order to determine the effect which <br /> the proposed revisions would have upOn t~he 'economic <br /> viability of the City of pleasanton. <br /> <br />NOW, T}~EREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The General Plan presented to the City Council at its <br /> meeting of December 17, 1973, which includes a map indi- <br /> cating the different land uses within the City and policy <br /> statements pertaining to land use and circulation, con- <br /> servation and open space, housing, seismic safety and <br /> other elements required by Section 65302 of the Govern- <br /> ment Code is hereby tentativeIy adopted. <br /> <br />Section 2. City staff is directed to submit this General Plan <br /> which includes all required elements in its entirety <br /> to an economic analysis in order to determine if any <br /> revisions to said plan are necessary in order to insure <br /> proper deveiopment of the City, not only from <br /> <br /> <br />
