WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 73-184 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING ACQUISITION AND LOCATION <br /> OF A FACILITY FOR A YOUTH CENTER AT AMADOR <br /> VALleY COMMUNITY PARK <br /> <br />there is a need in the City of Pleasanton for a youth <br />center to serve as a gathering place for the teenagers <br />of Pleasanton; and <br />as a result of the construction of a new library at the <br />Amador Valley Community Park, the temporary library <br />building located on Abbie Street has been vacated and is <br />available for purchase; and <br />at their meeting of November 28, 1973, the City of <br />PleasantonPark and Recreation Commission adopted Resolu- <br />tion No. 73-32, recommending that the City Council proceed <br />to acquire the above mentioned vacant building on Abbie <br />Street with funds to be provided by Pleasanton Youth, Inc., <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Park and Recreation Commission Resolution No. 73-32 also <br /> recommends the relocation of this temporary building <br /> permanently on a designated site at the Amador Valley <br /> Community Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton considered <br /> this matter at their meeting of December 3, 1973, and <br /> received comments from the community related thereto; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. City staff is authorized to negotiate with the County <br /> of Alameda for the acquisition of a temporary building <br /> to be located at the Amador Valley Community Park as a <br /> youth center pursuant to the recommendation of the ~ark <br /> and Recreation Commission as set forth in Resolution <br /> NO. 73-32 that the facility is to be purchased with <br /> Pleasanton Youth, Inc. funds and on behalf of Pleasanton <br /> Youth, Inc. <br /> <br /> <br />
