CITY OF PLEASA/~TON <br />COUNTY OF AIAM~A <br />STATE 0F CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-~ <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST FOR AN OVEBFASS PROJECT AT <br />THE INTEP~BCTION Of STONERIDGE DRIVE AND INTER- <br />STATE ROUTE 680 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Considerable engineering and traffic information has been filed <br />reSardin~ the necessity of an overpass and connection fTom Stone- ' <br />ridge Drive to 1-680 which is embodied in a report dated June 1, <br />1971, from the Director of Public Works to the City Codncil and <br />subsequently in a report from the City ManaSer to the City Council <br />dated November 7, 1973, entitled, 'Progress Report Re: Development <br />of Stoneridge Rngional Shopping Center"; and <br /> <br />Circumstances related to the proposed restrictions set forth by <br />the Environmental Protection ASency as well as the market poten- <br />tial of the City have necessitated a mare modest center initially <br />than originally anticipated; and <br /> <br />As a result of the above mentioned circumstances, an overpass <br />project spanning 1-680 appears to be Justified and desirable at <br />this timel and <br /> <br />Ample Justification appears to be provided for rescinding the <br />City Council's original Resolution No. 71-126, in a report from <br />the City Manager to the City Council dated January 4, 1974, <br />entitled, "Amended Resolution Re: Stoneridge Interchange". <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That the appropriate City officers be instructed to take <br />whatever action necessary to secure approval of an over- <br />pass project at the intersection of Stoneridge Drive and <br />1-680. <br /> <br />That Resolution No. 71-126 of the City Council requesting <br />an interchange project at this location is rescinded by <br />this resolution, with the understanding that if Justified <br />in the future, a separate project request could ha made <br />for a full interchange at a later date. <br /> <br />DATED: January 7, 1974 <br /> <br /> <br />
