CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 01-001 WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM AND CONGESTION MITIGATION AND AIR QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUNDING FOR RESURFACING WEST LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD FROM HACIENDA DRIVE TO TASSAJARA CREEK AND COMMITTING THE NECESSARY LOCAL MATCH FOR THE PROJECT AND STATING THE ASSURANCE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT the Transportation Equity Act forthe 21st Century (TEA21) (Public Law 105-178, June 9, 1998) and the TEA21 Restoration Act (Public Law 105-206, July 22, 1998) continue the Surface Transportation Program (23 U.S.C. §133 and the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ) (23 U.S.C. §149); and pursuant to TEA21, and the regulations promulgated thereunder, eligible project sponsors wishing to receive Surface Transportation Program or Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program grants for a project shall submit an application first with the appropriate metropolitan tran~qportation planning organization (MPO), for review and inclusion in the MPO's Transportation Improvement Program (TIP); and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission is the MPO for the San Francisco Bay region; and the City of Pleasanton is an eligible project sponsor for Surface Transportation Program or Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Prograra funds; and the City of Pleasanton wishes to submit a grant application to MTC for funds fi:om the Surface Tran~qportation Program or Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program in fiscal year 2000-2001 for the following project: Resurfacing West Las Positas - Hacienda Drive to Tassajara Creek
