CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 00-122 RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF PLEASANTON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 141 (SAN FRANCISCO BERNAL PROPERTY) PURSUANT TO THE CORTESE-KNOX LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANIZA- TION ACT OF 1985 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the annexation of approximately 496 acres, Annexation 141 (San Francisco Bernal Property), and requests initiation of proceedings thereon; mxd WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited, and a description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the affected city; and WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation are as follows: This is a logical extension of the City limits and the City of Pleasanton should have control over the development of this property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The Local Agency Fonnation Commission of Alameda County is hereby requested to take proceedings tbr the annexation of territory as described in Exhibit "A", according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985. Section 2: This resolution shall become efl~etive itranediately upon its passage and adoption.
