CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 00-125 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE REPORT OF THE PLEASANTON DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION ADVISORY BOARD, DECLARING THE INTENTION TO LEVY AN ANNUAL ASSESSMENT FOR 2001 AND ESTABLISHING A TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore established a Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District, the purposes and boundaries of which are set forth in Chapter 5.28, Pleasanton Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore appointed a Pleasanton Advisory Board for the Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District; and WHEREAS, said Advisory Board has prepared a report for 2001, which report is on file with the City Clerk, which report satisfies the statutory requirements of Streets and Highways Code, §36533 and which report is al~ached to this resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The report of the Advisory Board is accepted and approved. Section 2: Section 3: The City Council hitends to levy and collect assessments within the District for 2001, for the proposed improvements and activities as provided in Chapter 5.28 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code and as provided in the attached report. The public hem'thg on the levy of the proposed assessment for 2001 is set for Tnesday, December 5, 2000, at 7:00 p.m.., in the Cily of Pleasanton Library meeting room, 400 Old Bemal Avenue, Pleasanton, California, at which time protests to the assessment may be made, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing as provided in §36534 of the Streets and Highways Code. Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
