CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-094 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VINEYARD CORRIDOR <br />NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC CALMING PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 11, 2000, the City Cmmcil received a staff report from the <br /> Director of Public Works (SR 00:190) describing the proposed Neighborhood <br /> Traffic Calming Improvements for the neighborhoods west of the Vineyard <br /> Avenue Corridor Specific Plan Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, public testimony was taken at the meeting; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section I: Approves the following neighborhood traffic calming improvements: <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />7. <br />8. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Installation of entry and median islands on Montevino Drive as shown in <br />the staff report. <br />Installation of entry islands on Crestablanca Drive as shown in the staff <br />report; further evaluate the need for median island after entry island <br />installation. <br />Modification of Vineyard Avenue/Montevino Drive intersection to increase <br />capacity as shown in the staff report. <br />Modification of BemaI Avenue, Tawny Drive, and Vineyard Avenue <br />swiping as shown in the staff report. <br />Conversion of Sauteme Way to a one-way street, allowing southbound <br />access as shown in the Staff Report using paint and signs. <br />Installation of high visibility crosswalk signs on Vineyard Avenue <br />approaching Sauterne Way and Toufiga Drive. <br />Resurfacing of Vineyard Avenue with a surface to reduce traffic noise. <br />Direct staff to submit additional landscape medians on Vineyard Avenue for <br />consideration with the next CIP funding cycle (2001-02/2002-03). <br />Direct staff to determine feasibility of raised island for Smoke Tree <br />Commons, as part of the Bemal Avenue Capital Improvements. <br /> <br /> <br />
