This proposal requires <br />reconstruction of the overcrossing at Bernal Avenue and possible <br />widening of the I-680 bridge over [he Arroyo de la Laguna (north of the <br />interchange) to accommodate the loop onramp and the two-lane offramp. <br />Even with modifications, the loop onramp would not meet Caltrans <br />standards for new construction. <br />Pedestrian facilities: Pedestrians could walk safely on either side of <br />Bemal Avenue. Pedestrian facilities on [he south side of [he sheet aze <br />preferted, however. <br />Mitigation Responsibilities: <br />Site Develouer <br />(I) Include requirement for interchange improvement funding in the <br />Development Agreement. <br />(2) Provide funding for intersection improvements pursuant to <br />Development Agreement. <br />City of Pleasamon: <br />(3) Conduct monitoring studies at offramp until traffic volume reaches <br />1,440 vehioles per hour. <br />(4) Review monitoring reports and determine when traffic has reached <br />the level [hat requires improvements. <br />(5) Prepare improvement plans. <br />(6) Complete additional CEQA review. <br />(7) Obtain design approval and Encroachment Permit from Caltrans. <br />(8) Collect project funding from site developer pursuant to <br />Development Agreement. <br />(9) Cons[me[ improvements. <br />
