Require water conservation measures. <br />Specifrcutians oJthis measure also apply rn Miligarian Measures C26, C36, D2d, and Dad <br />Impact to be Mitigated: Cumulative increase in demand for potable water. <br />Agency/lndividual City of Pleasanton: Planning Department, Planning Commission and City <br />Responsible for Council <br />Implementation: <br />Implementation Timing: (1) Prior [o approval of the Specific Plan <br /> (2) Prior to approval of PUD Development Plan <br /> (3) Prior [o issuance of building permits <br />Mitigation Specifications: The Specific Plan (Water Use Policy L: Water Conservation) and PUD <br /> Plan for the property include strategies and actions for water conservation. <br /> Pleasanton General Ylan Water Programs 4.2 4.5, 4.6, and 4.9 shall be <br /> implemented as part of the specific plan. These programs call respec- <br /> tively for contingency planning for water shortages, installation of water <br /> conservation devices and drought-tolerant landscaping, utilization of <br /> water reclamation methods to [he fullest extent feasible, and education of <br /> citizens regarding conservation of water in the home and in landscaping. <br /> PUD Condition 55(a) requires use of water-saving plumbing fixtures and <br /> water-conserving landscaping as well as irrigation control systems that <br /> include water-saving features. PUD Condition 55(b) requires Residential <br /> CC&Rs to include water conservation educational material and <br /> specifications to minimize water conservation in private landscaping. <br />Agency/fndividoal <br />Responsible for <br />Monitoring: City of Pleasanton, Planning Dcparment and Building Department <br />Actioo by Monitor: (1) Verify that the Specific Plan includes strategies and actions for <br /> water conservation and recycling, and implements identified Gen- <br /> eral Plan water programs. <br /> (2) Verify that [he PUD Development Plan includes strategies and <br /> actions for water conservation, and implement identified General <br /> Plan water programs. <br /> (3) Verify that building plans specify water-saving fixtures and features <br /> as well as drought-tolerant landscaping materials. <br />Monitoring Timing.
