CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />AS BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE LAUREL <br />CREEK ESTATES GEOLOGIC ttAZARD <br />ABATEMENT DISTRICT <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-102 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ANNEXATION OF <br />TERRITORY TO THE LAUREL CREEK ESTATES <br />GEOLOGIC HAZARD ABATEMENT DISTRICT (GHAD) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on October 18, 1994, pursuant to Section 26550 of the Public Resources Code, this <br />Council adopted Resolution No, 94-118A, declaring that the Council is subject to <br />the provisions of Division 17 (§26500 et seq.) of said Code, and lbrwarded a copy <br />of said Resolution to the State Controller; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to the provisions of said Division 17 of said Code, a petition was filed <br />with the City Clerk, dated October 13, 1997, for the formation of a geologic hazard <br />abatement district CGHAD") for the Laurel Creek Estates project area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 18, 1997, the GHAD for the Laurel Creek Estates project area was <br /> formed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to the provisions of said Division 17, a petition was filed with the City, <br />dated June 6, 2000, to annex certain territory to the Laurel Creek Estates GHAD; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said petition complied with the provisions of Public Resources Code §26552 and <br />has attached to it a legal description of the boundaries o~' the territory to be <br />annexed to the GHAD (Exhibit "A"), a map showing the bom~daries of the <br />territory to be annexed to the CHAD (Exhibit "B") and a plan of control (Exhibit <br />"C"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk reviewed said petition and verified that it was complete, timely, and <br /> met all statutory requirements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Board of Directors on July 18, 2000 set the public hearing on the petition as <br />August 1, 2000 at 6:55 p.m. at thc City Council Chan~bers at 200 Old Bernal <br />Avenue, Pleasanton; and <br /> <br /> <br />
