CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 00-078 RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL (CASE PAP-09) AND THEREBY UPHOLDING A MODIFIED DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION REGARDING THE APPLICATION OF ROBERT COX AND JEFFREY TORRES, AS FILED UNDER CASE PSDR-01 WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, Robert Cox and Jeffrey Tortes applied for design review to install signs for the Olde Towne Antiques store located in a multi-tenant building located at 3440 Stanley Boulevard, Suites J & K; and the Planning Commission approved a modification to the applicant's proposal to allow three painted wood signs on the front building elevation of the store; and within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, the applicant filed an appeal oftbe Planning Commission's approval; and a duly noticed public hearing on the appeal was held before the City Council on June 20, 2000; and WHEREAS, actions of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); therefbre, no environmental document was prepared for this matter; and the City Council determines that the Planning Commission's approval of three painted wood signs on the front elevation of the building, along with a modest sized sign on the west wall, is appropriate signage for the wall. NOW, THEREFORE, T}tE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Denies Case PAP-09, thereby upholding the Planning Conunission's approval (Resolution No. PC-2000-26, April 26, 2000) of Case PSDR-1, of the application of Robert Cox and Jeffrey Tones for design review approval to install signs for the Old Town Antiques store located in a multi-tenant building located at 3440 Stanley Boulevard, Suites J & K; provided, that the applicant may have an additional modest sized sign on the west wall, as determined by the Director of Planning and Community Development.
