CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 00-078 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL (CASE PAP-09) AND THEREBY <br />UPHOLDING A MODIFIED DECISION OF THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION REGARDING THE APPLICATION OF ROBERT COX <br />AND JEFFREY TORRES, AS FILED UNDER CASE PSDR-01 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Robert Cox and Jeffrey Tortes applied for design review to install signs for the <br />Olde Towne Antiques store located in a multi-tenant building located at 3440 <br />Stanley Boulevard, Suites J & K; and <br /> <br />the Planning Commission approved a modification to the applicant's proposal to <br />allow three painted wood signs on the front building elevation of the store; and <br /> <br />within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, the applicant filed an <br />appeal oftbe Planning Commission's approval; and <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing on the appeal was held before the City Council on <br />June 20, 2000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />actions of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); therefbre, no environmental <br />document was prepared for this matter; and <br /> <br />the City Council determines that the Planning Commission's approval of three <br />painted wood signs on the front elevation of the building, along with a modest <br />sized sign on the west wall, is appropriate signage for the wall. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, T}tE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Denies Case PAP-09, thereby upholding the Planning Conunission's approval <br />(Resolution No. PC-2000-26, April 26, 2000) of Case PSDR-1, of the application <br />of Robert Cox and Jeffrey Tones for design review approval to install signs for the <br />Old Town Antiques store located in a multi-tenant building located at 3440 <br />Stanley Boulevard, Suites J & K; provided, that the applicant may have an <br />additional modest sized sign on the west wall, as determined by the Director of <br />Planning and Community Development. <br /> <br /> <br />
