CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-138 <br /> <br />RESOLUI'ION SUPPORTING THE TRI-VALLEY COUNCIL <br />COMPREHENSIVE SUBREGIONAL PLANNING <br />COMMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Tri-Valley Council composed of the Town of Danville, tho Cities of Dublin, <br />Livemore, Pleasanton, and San Ramon, and the Counties of Alameda and Conhuh <br />Costa was created in 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Tri-Valley Council was formed to address issues of regional concern; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, theTri-ValleyCouncilhasaprovenrecordofsupportingsubregionalcooperation <br /> as evidenced by the efforts of the Tri-Valley Transpohuhtion Council; and <br /> <br />the Association of Bay Area Governments has issued a request for proposals for <br />the Comprehensive Subregional Planning Pilot Program to develop a draft <br />subregional strategy of model goals, objectives and policies for inclusion in the <br />local general plans; and <br /> <br />the Tri-Valley Council has formed the Tri-Valley Council Comprehensive <br />Subregional Planning Committee to further subregional cooperation and the <br />development of a draft subregional strategy. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City Council supports the application to the Association of Bay Area <br />Governments for a grant to assist in development of a Tri-Valley Comprehensive <br />Subregional Planning Pilot Program. <br /> <br />The City Council supports the Tri-Vallcy Council's establishment of the Tri- <br />Valley Council Comprehensive Subregional Planning Committee to prepare and <br />submit the grant application and to develop the subsequent comprehensive <br />subregional policy plan. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City Council agrees to participate in the preparation of the draft subregional <br /> policy plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
