EXHIBIT A CONDITIONS OF APPRO~rAL AP-94-08 (UP-94-57) October 18, 1994 The piano lessons shall be conducted with the following stipulations: a. The hours of operation shall be as follows: Monday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Thursday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM b. The number of students shall be limited to a maximum of ten per day and 32 per week. c. No signs are allowed in conjunction with the home Occupation. d. No more than one student shall receive instruction at any one time. e. Piano lessons shall take place only in the room specified (the living room). f. Instruction shall not be provided for Say instruments other than piano. g. The living room windows shall remain closed during all instruction. h. Recitals shall not be allowed. No one other than the applicant shall be employed in the conduct of this home occupation. In order to minimize traffic and parking impacts on the neighborhood, the following rules Shall apply: a. Students shall be encouraged to walk or ride bicycles to lessons. b. Except for curbside drop-off and pick-up described below, drivers of vehicles transporting Students to and from the residence, including those waiting for a student to finish a lesson, shall park in the applicant's driveway. The applicant shall ensure that at least one parking space is available in the driveway for Student-carrying vehicles at all times lessons are scheduled. c. Drivers of students shall be encouraged to wait inside the applicant's home rather than waiting in parked vehicles. d. Students may be dropped-off and picked up by drivers of vehicles parking in the curb-side, on-street parking area directly in front of the applicant's residence. No double-parking for these purposes is allowed. e. The applicant Shall impress upon all students the need for them to behave courteously toward the applicant's neighbors when they Sre outside the applicant's house, whether coming, leaving, or waiting.
