DA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-115 <br /> <br />RI?-QOLUTIONADO PT]NG'IHEALANt~,I~A COUNTYVdDE <br />TRANSPORTATION PLAN AS A CITY POLICY <br /> <br />a Joint Powers Agreement which became effective in May 1991 endred into by <br />Alameda County, ("County"), and the fourteen cities within Alameda County, <br />formed the Alameda County Congestion Managemerit Agency and gave the <br />Congestion Management Agency the responsibility to develop, adopt and update <br />the Alameda Countywide Transportation Plan; ~d <br /> <br />§66531, as amen6ed, of the Government Code authorizes each county together <br />with the cities and transit operators within the County to develop a countywide <br />transportation plan; and <br /> <br />§66531 requires that the county ramspotation plan shall include recommended <br />transportation improvements for the succeeding 10- and 20-year periods; and <br /> <br />Alameda County Congestion Management Agency prepared the Alameda County <br />Long Range Tran. vportation Plan in cooperation with representatives from the <br />fourteen cities, Alameda County, BART, AC Transit and other transit operators <br />public entitles; and <br /> <br />there were oppermnities throughout the development of the plan for public input, <br />the Draft Plan was circulated for written comments from April 8, 1994 through <br />May 5, 1994 and oral public testimony was taken on April 28, 1994 end May 12, <br />1994; and <br /> <br />the Alameda Countywide Transportation P/an meets the requizements of §66531 <br />of the Government Code, and the Alameda County Congestion Management <br />Agency adopted theAlameda Countywide Transportca'ion Plan on May 12, 1994; <br />and <br /> <br />the Alameda CounOnvide Transportation Plan sets forth transpomtion goals, <br />policies, end implementation measures which address the needs of Alameda <br />County residents; end <br /> <br />the Alameda Countywide Transportation P/an sets forth policies and investments <br />that apply to, or are located within, Pleasanton or are of countywide or regional <br />significance; and <br /> <br /> <br />
