CITY COUNCII, OF THE CTTY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-89 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF ST. <br />MINI-CAB CORPORATION FOR A CERTIFICATE OF <br />PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO OPERATE <br />A TARI SERVICE IN THE CITY OF pLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the St. Mini-Cab Corporation has applied to the City for a Certificate of Public <br />Convenience and Necessity to operate a taxi setvice in the City of Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, as provided in Chapter 6.40, Pleasanmn Municipal Code, the police department <br />conducted its investigation as to the applicant and has provided to the City <br />Council a positive report and recommendation (SR 94:191); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council on July 19, 1994 and on August 2, 1994 considered this <br />application, at which times oral and documentary evidence was considered; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that further taxicab service in the City is required for Ote <br />public convenience and necessity and that the applicant is fit, willing and able to <br />perform the requirements of Chapter 6.40 and any and all rules promulgated by <br />the Police Chief. <br />NOW, Tr~unuORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />ec i n 1: Declares that the public convenience and necessity require additional taxicab <br />service. <br />'on 2: Authorizes the Police Chief to issue to the St. Mini-Cab Corporation a certificate, <br />as provided in Chapter 6.40, Pleasanton Municipal Code, said company to do <br />business under the name "Veterans' Cab". <br />on The maximum taxi rates shall be as set forth in the Master Fee Schedule. <br />Section 4: Approves red, grcen and white as the color scheme for the taxicabs. <br />tion St. Mini-Cab Corporation shall comply with Ordinance 1634 (concerning where <br />taxicabs aze to pazk when not in service). <br />
