9.2 Vacation ..ccruals <br /> <br />9.3 <br /> <br />Effective March 1, 1991, each eligible en~loyee shall <br />accrue vacation as follows: <br /> <br />Years Of Continuous Service Accrual Rate Per Month <br /> <br />First through fourth <br />Fifth through ninth <br />Tenth through fourteenth <br />Fifteenth <br />Sixteenth <br />Seventeenth <br />Eighteenth <br />Nineteenth and above <br /> <br /> 6.667 <br />10.000 <br />13.334 <br />14.000 <br />14.667 <br />15.334 <br />16.000 <br />16.667 <br /> <br />The ~ximum monthly accrual rate shall be 16.667 hours. <br /> <br />An employee, except a probationary employee, may be <br />allowed to incur a forty (40) hour deficit beyond his/her <br />accrued vacation. <br /> <br />Vacatiom Acc-mulation <br /> <br />Effective January1, 1978, an employee will be allowed to <br />have an accumulation of no more than two {2) years' <br />vacation accrual to his credit at any one time. <br /> <br />9.4 <br /> <br />9.5 <br /> <br />Vacation Schedule <br />The times during a calendar year at which an employee~k~y <br />take his/her vacation shall be determined by the <br />department head with due regard for the wishes of the <br />e~loyee and particular regard for the needs of the <br />Service. <br /> <br />If the requirements of the service are such that an <br />ermployee cannot take part of all of his/her annual <br />vacation in a particular calendar year, such vacation <br />shall be taken during the following calendar year. <br /> <br />~_~_nually, employees in the operations, investigation, <br />and support services divisions ~y request on a rotating <br />basis three vacation periods for the calendar year. <br />The rotation shall be according to seniority by <br />classification and by division. All employees in each <br />division shall have had an opportunity to request their <br />first choice of vacations before second choices may be <br />requested. Third choices shall be exercised in the same <br />fashion. A vacation request schedule shall be <br />distributed to all employees by January 1st of each <br />year. The vacation request schedule shall be completed <br />and posted by January 31 of that same year. <br /> <br />Vacatiom Pay at Termination <br />Employees shall be paid for all accrued vacation leave <br />earned prior to the effective date of termination. Such <br />compensation for earned vacation shall be paid to the <br />employee in one lump sum in a final check. <br /> -8- <br /> <br /> <br />
