Tree Pamovat Request for L.I.D. Parking Lot.

2zt~erly and efficiently' develop th~ proposed site ~nto a parking
These trees are described as follows:

A 24-inch diameter multi-trunk Plum tree located adjacent
to the existing driveway to the I.O.O.F. parkjag lot. This
zree is located within the proposed 20 feet wide driveway
from St. Marys Street to the L.I.D. parking lot. Preserve-
zion of the tree would result in either:

a) Reduction of the width of the two-way driveway from
St. Marys Street to the L.I.D. parking lot to 17 feet
with one edge of this narrow driveway abutting the
corner of the I.O.O.F, (CotJar i,iquor Shore) building; or
b) significant disruption of the development plans for the
Bindi restaurant on the property adjacent tc the I.O.O.F.
property.

A 24-inch diameter English Walnut tree located behind Christe-
sen's store. This tree is in extremely poor condition and
could not be expected to survive any appreciable length of
time, !t~s location is such that any attempt to preserve it
would significantly disrupt the ef£icient development of the
surrounding area into s parking lot.

matter of information, four other trees of Heritage Tree size
bDing preserved within the boundaries of the L.I.]]. parking
Also, appzoximately eight other existing trees~ most of them
if~fitage Trees, are being preserved within a few feet but outside

for fhe parking lot ca!] eor the planting of four new trees;
L~_~'_io of 2 to 1 for those trees which should be cemoved.

. r"y opinion, the two trees that are the subject of this tree
;=rc5val request would not be especially noticeable should they be
=c!%> .xed nor would they be significant should they be preserved,
~!~ %he same time, preservation of the two trees would significantly
di~ =nlsh the efficien2y and the ezfect~veness of the proposed
_: :king lot development by reducing kl,~low an acceptable level
t~:z -~/dth oz one of the major access driveways to the parking lot
