CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />R~SOLUTION NO. 74-184 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE <br />OF $3,000 FOR A CONSULTANT ~EPORT REGARDING <br />KAISER DUMP PROPOSAL. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kaiser Sand and Gravel will soon be appearing before <br /> the State Water Resources Control Board regarding the <br /> establishment of a regional dumping facility at cer- <br /> tain gravel pits Owned by Kaiser Industries and <br /> located adjacent to the City limits; an~ <br />WHER~S, representatives of CAGE (Citizens Against Garbage <br /> <br /> Environment) has requested the City of Pleasanton to <br /> assist CAGE in obtaining an independent consultant's <br /> ~lalysis of the proposed dump facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council is concerned with the establishment of <br /> a dump facility adjacent to the City limits of the <br /> magnitude suggested by Kaiser Industries; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Water Resources Engineers of Walnut Creek, a firm <br /> specializing in water research, has indicated that <br /> it can review the necessary reports supplied by Kaiser <br /> for a sum totalling not more than $3,000.00. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The sum of $3,000.00 is hereby appropriated from <br />the unallocated reserve in the 1974-75 budget for the purposes <br />of compensating Water Resources Engineers of Walnut Creek for <br />a study of documentation provided by Kaiser Sand and Gravel <br />to the State Water Resources Control Board pertaining to the <br />establishment Of a regional dumping facility at the unused <br />Kaiser gravel pits located adjacent to the City limits o f the <br />City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> <br />
