CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 00-068 RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF PLEASANTON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 146 (FULLER/SMATHERS) PURSUANT TO THE CORTESE-KNOX LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1985 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox I,ocal Government Reorganization Act of 1984, Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 of the Califomia Government Code, for the annexation of approximately 155 acres, Annexation 146 (Fuller/Smathers), and requests initiatiou of proceedings thereon; and WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be am~cxed is uninhabited, and a description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the affected city; and WHEREAS, the reason for this proposed annexation is as follows: This is a logical extension of the City limits and the City of Pleasanton should have control over the development of this property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda Couunty is hereby requested to take proceedings for the annexation of territory as described in Exhibit "A", according to the terms and conditiorks stated above and in the manner provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Govcnmaent Reorganization Act of 1985. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
