CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY. CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-043 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FORMATION OF SCHOOL <br />TRANSPORTATION TASK FORCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of May 2, 2000, the City Council received the report of the <br />Economic Development Manager (SR 00:126) regarding recommendations from a <br />School Board-City Council Liaison Commiltee as a result of the school <br />transportation survey; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the recomnmndations from thc smwcy results suggested that an advisory committee <br />(the School Transportation Task Force) be formed to begin working through the <br />implementation of recommendations from the survey: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />letters inviting participation in the School Transportation Task Force were sent to <br />the following: 1) parents who volunteered through the survey; 2) parent <br />representatives implementing School Traffic Calming Prograins; 3) school site <br />administrators: 4) parent-faculty club presidents; 5) parents who have cxprcsscd <br />interest to school site staff~ and 6) representatives from the Livcrmorc Aanador <br />Valley Transit Authority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />City of Pleasantou School Traffic Calming staff will be co-chairing the School <br />Transportation Task Force with Jerri Long, Public Information Officer of the <br />School District. <br /> <br />NOW. THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Establishcs the School Transportation Task Force. <br /> <br /> <br />
