RE: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74-217 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR A GRANT <br />FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES TO CCCJ <br /> (CALIFORNIA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE) <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton desires to undertake a certain <br />project designated Juvenile Delinquency Prevention <br />Bicycle Observers to be funded in part from funds <br />made available through the Omnibus Crime Control and <br />Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90-355, as amended, <br /> <br />PL 91-644, (hereafter referred to as the Safe Streets <br />Act) or the Crime Control Act of 1973, administered <br />by the California Council on Criminal Justice (here- <br />after referred to as CCCJ). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />The City ~lanager of the City of Pleasanton was auth- <br />orized, on its behalf, to submit the attached <br />Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to <br />CCCJ and is authorized to execute on behalf of the <br />Pleasanton Police Department the resulting Grant <br />Award Contract for law enforcement purposes including <br />any extensions or amendments thereof. <br /> <br />That the applicant agrees to provide all matching <br />funds required for said project (including any exten- <br />sion or amendment thereof) under the Safe Streets <br /> <br />Act or the Crime Control Act of 1973 and the rules <br />and regulations of CCCJ and the Law Enforcement <br />Assistance Administration and thah cash will be ap- <br />propriated as required thereby. <br /> <br /> <br />
