opment and housing assistance activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, seven cities in Alameda County have a 1970 Census <br /> <br /> population of less than 50,000~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, these same seven cities may join with the County of <br /> <br /> Alameda to form a combined 1970 Census population of <br /> 200,000 or more persons thereby qualifying as an <br /> urban county and be eligible for an entitlement of <br /> Community Development Block Grant Funds. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS~ <br />~tio--~n_ A- That the City of Pleasanton declares its intention <br /> to enter into a cooperative agreement with the <br /> <br />County of Alameda in pursuit of Title I monies as <br />provided in Public Law 93~383, Housing and Com- <br />munity Development Act of 1974. <br />Section 2.
