CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF AL~aEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-19 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED BUDGET AND PRIORITY <br />PROJECTS FOR BICENTENNIAL COmmITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Bicentennial Committee was appointed in <br /> <br /> the fall of 1974 in order to prepare a budget and select <br /> certain projects for the City of Pleasanton Bicentennial <br /> celebration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Co.mmittee has formed itself into various subcommitees <br /> and has prepared a budget for the accomplishment of its <br /> various purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary for the community to establish a priority <br /> list acceptable to the City of Pleasanton in order to <br /> obtain tax exempt status from the State of California <br /> and the Internal Revenue Service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 27, 1975, the City Council <br /> received the proposed budget from the Bicentennial Com- <br /> mittee together with a list of priorities; <br /> <br />flOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTO~ DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The organizational structure of the m!easanton Bicen-- <br /> tennial Committee is approved together with the proposed <br /> budget and priority projects which have been submitted <br /> by the Coma~ittee and which are attached as Exhibit "A" <br /> hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. The sum of $5,000 is appropriated from the Citv's <br /> General Fund and designated for use by the Pleasanton <br /> Bicentennial Committee as '~start-u~ moneyI~ with the <br /> understanding that said funds will be rein~ursed to the <br /> City of Pleasanton when and if the committee is able to <br /> <br />do so. <br /> <br /> <br />
