WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALamEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 75-34 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CONCEPT OF <br />THE USE OF THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TUBERCU- <br />LOSIS SANATORIUM SITE FOR THE BUENAS <br />VIDAS RANCH <br /> <br />Buenas Vidas is a newly incorporated, private agency <br />dedicated to the welfare of troubled and alienated <br />youth and their families primarily from the Tri- <br />Valley area; and <br /> <br />Buenas Vidas is a ranch/farm operation, which is an <br />important factor in achieving the agency's goals to <br />reestablish a sense of self worth and quality of <br />respect that stems from giving youth an ability to be <br />more responsible; and <br />in order to accomplish its goals, the Board of Direc- <br />tors of Buenas Vidas has been looking at numerous <br />potential sites; and <br />the most feasible site for the operation of this <br />agency has been determined by the Board to be the <br /> <br />Del Valle portion of the Alameda County Tuberculosis <br />Sanatorium site; and <br /> <br />Buenas Vidas Board of Directors appeared at the meet- <br />ring of the City Council on February 24, 1975, request- <br />ing support of the City Council in their efforts to <br />obtain permission from the Board of Supervisors for <br />the use of the above mentioned facilities. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Supports the efforts of Buenas Vidas to help the <br /> troubled and alienated youth and their families of <br /> <br /> <br />
