WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WIIEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF AL~EDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 75-33 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FEDERAL AID URBAN <br />SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE <br />URBAN BOUNDARY IN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON. <br /> <br />highway improvements funded with Federal-Aid Urban <br />funds must be located on the Federal-Aid Urban system; <br />and <br />transit improvements funded under the provisions of <br />Section 142 of Title 23 United States Code must be <br />within an urban area; and <br />under the provisions of Chapter 1 of Title 23 of the <br />Code of Federal Regulations the Federal-Aid Urban <br />System shall consist of routes selected by the appro- <br />priate local officials with the concurrence of the <br />State Highway Department; and <br />under the provisions of said Chapter the urban bound- <br />aries shall be fixed by responsible State and local <br />officials in cooperation with each other;and <br />said Chapter defines 'appropriate local officials' as <br />"the principal elected officials of the general pur- <br />pose local government, acting through the ~4etropolitan <br />Planning Agency designated by the Governor; and <br />the Metropolitan Transportation Conmission is the <br />~etropolitan Planning Agency designated by the Gover- <br />nor; and <br />the Director of Housing and Co~munity Development <br />has reconmended approval of the Federal Aid Urban <br />system and the urban boundaries-depicted on the maps <br />attached as Exhibit !'A'l. <br /> <br /> <br />
