CITY OF PLEASANTO~ COU~qTY OF ALAmeDA STATE OF CALIFORiqIA P~SOLUTION NO. 75_68 CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETE~{INE ~'~ETHER PUBLIC NECESSITY, HEALTH, SAFETY, OR !ELFAKE REQUID~S THE FO~TION OF AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT ON SANTA RITA ROAD FROM THE ARROYO DEL VALLE TO ~tSTERN PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AS FOLLOWS ~{EREAS Chapter 10, Title V of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton establishes a procedure for the creation of underground utility districts and requires as the initial step in such procedure the holding of a public hearing to ascertain whether public necessity, health, safety, or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground in- stallation of wires and facilities for supplying e!ec- tric, communication, or similar or associated service in any such district; and !~EP~AS, it has been reco~ended that such an under%round utility district be fo~ed on both sides of Santa Rita Road from the Arroyo Del Valle to Western Pacific Railroad Right of VYay; NOW, THEREF0~E, BE IT P~SOLVED AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on April 14 1975, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Pleasanton Justice Court Building, 30 West Angela Street, Pleasanton, California, to ascer- tain whether the public necessity, health, safety or wel- fare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground in- stallation of wires and facilities for supplying electri~ communication, or similar associated service in the District hereinabove described.
