CITY OF PLEAS~qTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 75-89 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FINDING THE PRELIMINARY GRANT <br />AMOUNT AND CONDITIONS PROPOSED BY THE STATE <br />IN RELATION TO THE PROPOSED EXPANSION OF THE <br />V.C.S.D. SEWAGE TREATM3ZNT PLANT L~qACCEPTABLE <br />TO THE CITY OF PLEASANTON. <br /> <br />~EREAS , <br /> <br />W~EREAS , <br /> <br />WHEP~AS , <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton and 'the Valley Community Services <br /> District own and operate sewage treatment plants with <br /> an existing combined capacity of 6.7 MGD~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in an effort ~o reasonably provide for the immediate <br /> <br /> future and ~o consolidate the two existing plants into <br /> one, the V.C.S.D. has applied to the S~ate for a grant <br /> to enlarge their plant to 8.0 MGD; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasan~on City Council previously adopted Reso- <br /> lution No. 74-212 selecting alternative 2b (phase out <br /> to V.C.S.D.) as the best apparent project, subject to <br /> conditions set forth in the resolution and reserving the <br /> right to consider alternative 5b (construction of new <br /> sewage treatment plan~); and <br /> the City and V.C.S.D. have submitted information to <br /> the State indicating that a plant expansion to aFproxi- <br /> mately 12.0 MGD would be necesary to properly provide <br /> for the needs of the area until 1987~ and <br /> by letter of April 9, 1975, from Mr. Bill B. Dendy to <br /> Mr. Paul DeFalco, the State has preliminarily indica[ed <br /> ~hat the to~al grant fundable capacity for the expanded <br /> V.C.S.D. plant has been determined to be 6.516 MGD~ <br /> the propo i~d total co~Dined capacity of 6.516 MGD is <br /> less that the sum of the existing separate capacities <br /> of 6.7 MGD~ is less khan the projected flows at the <br /> ~ime of comple~ion of ~he proposed expansion~ is less <br /> <br />EXHIBIT C <br /> <br /> <br />
