WHEREAS, <br /> <br />~E~AS, <br /> <br />~E~AS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 75-103 <br /> <br /> APPOINTING CITY ATTORNEY KEN SCHEIDIG "CONSULTANT <br /> FOR WORLD AFFAIRS IN SACRAMENTO" <br /> <br />the City Attorney, with premeditation and without mental <br />reservation did with overt physical action place himself <br />temptingly in such a position to cause himself to be <br />chosen for an "on-the-street" interview by a Channel 13 <br />Television reporter; and <br />the City Attorney participated in said interview while <br />balancing City files in one hand and a dripping ice cream <br />cone in the other hand, being in Sacramento on City <br />business; and <br />the City Attorney skillfully answered said reporter while <br />maintaining his composure and that of the dignity of his <br />high City office while being intimidated by the presence <br />of several members of the Pleasanton City Council during <br />said interview; and <br /> <br />~EREAS, the City Attorney's interview was subsequently shown on <br /> the Channel 13 evening newscast on Thursday, April 17, <br /> 1975, despite the fact that the same interview of a repre- <br /> sentative of the Pleasanton City Council met the fate of <br /> the editors cruel scissors; and <br /> <br />I~IEREAS, the office of the City Attorney may, from time to time <br /> be assigned such additional responsibilities and titles <br /> <br /> as the Pleasanton City Council may deem appropriate; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> §1. THAT the additional title "CONSULTANT FOR WORLD AFFAIRS <br /> IN SACRAMENTO" be assigned to the present City Attorney <br /> with just compensation; said compensation to be appropri- <br /> ately budgeted and then deducted, on a pro-rata basis, <br /> <br /> <br />
