CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 75-139 A RESOLUTION INDICATING THE CITY COUNCIL's INTENTION TO GRANT TO MEMBERS OF THE PLEASANTON CITY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION BENEFITS NEGOTIATED UNDER A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING IF AGREED TO BY JULY 8, 1975 WHEREAS, City, through its designated representatives, entered into negotia- tions with the Pleasanton City Employees Association (PCEA) on or about May 28, 1975, to establish wages, hours and working conditions for Fiscal Year 1975-76~ and WHEREAS, the negotiations between the parties will extend beyond the beginning of the 1975-76 Fiscal Year; and WHEREAS, the City Council is willing to allow employees who are represented by the Pleasanton City Employees Association to receive any negotiated benefits, computed as of July 1, 1975, provided agreement is reached and set forth in a Memorandum of Understanding by July 8, 1975. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The employees represented by the Pleasanton City Employees Association will receive the compensation as contained in a Memorandum of Understanding from July 1, 1975, provided said Memorandum is executed on or before July 8, 1975. Any Memorandum established subsequent to that date shall be effective only upon acceptance by the City Council. Section 2. This resolution establishes the City Council's intention not to grant retroactive pay for agreements entered into subsequent to July 1, 1975. However, it is the City Council's intention that it would have granted to the employees represented by the Pleasanton City Employees Association the in- creases contained in any Memorandum of Understanding negotiated on or before July 8, 1975, as if it had been in effect at the beginning of the Fiscal Year.
