WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />~E~AS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 75-128 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF DEPUTY <br />CITY ATTORNEY AND AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 71-73 <br />and 71-74 PERTAINING TO EXE~T E~LOYEES AND <br />MIDDLE-MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES. <br /> <br />the City Council received a report from the City Attorney <br />relative to the personnel needs of the City Attorney's <br />Office; and <br />due to the increased work load, especially as it relates <br />to litigation, the City Council desires to provide addi- <br />tional legal staff in the City Attorney's Office; and <br />the establishment of the position of Deputy City Attorney <br />has been recommended by the City Attorney; and <br />the position of Deputy City Attorney is a position requir- <br />ing managerial talents; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The position of Deputy City Attorney is established as <br /> a permanent employment position in the City Attorney's <br /> Office. <br /> <br />Section 2. The functions of the Deputy City Attorney, as well as <br /> the initial salary range for said position are more par- <br /> ticularly established in Exhibit A, attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 3. Section 1912 (Exempt Services) of Resolution 71-73 <br /> (Re: Adoption of Personnel Rules and Regulations) is <br /> amended by the inclusion of the position of Deputy City <br /> Attorney. <br /> <br />Section 4. Exhibit A (Management and Confidential Employees) to <br /> Resolution No. 71-74 (Employer and Employee Relations <br /> Procedures) is amended by the inclusion of the position <br /> Of Deputy City Attorney under the Middle-Management <br /> designation. <br /> <br /> <br />
