provements undertaken by the City of Pleasanton as a result of an individual property owner's and/or rentor's refusal to do so shall be billed to the property owner and/or rentor. d. Any post, pole or structure upon which a mailbox rests shall be made of such material as to be subject to removal. The post, pole or structure shall have installed on them re- flectors which shall be readily visible to the traveling public. No post, pole or structure shall extend beyond either side of either end of the mailbox resting on it. Concrete shall not be placed in the cavity of any post, pole or structure except below the surface of the ground or sidewalk within which it has been placed. e. If the rules and regulations of the United States Postal Service shall be amended or legislation is passed allowing for door to door mail delivery, at such time as corrective City ordinances are passed (if necessary) all curbside and/or cluster mailboxes shall be removed by the property owner and/or resident. All encroachment permits allowing for curbside and/or cluster mailboxes shall be deemed to be revoked upon the effective date of the corrective City ordinances. f. Mailboxes erected at or near the curb shall be of a type conforming to those shown in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Parcel mailboxes, or other oversized mailboxes shall not be permitted. Only letter size mailboxes may be installed pursuant to this resolution. g. The resident shall be solely responsible for any injuries to any individual or property caused by the erection of a curbside mailbox. The encroachment permit shall include a provision holding the City harmless from any damage or injury resulting from the existence of a curbside mailbox and indicating that installation of such a mailbox is at the owner's own risk.
