CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 75-142 A RESOLUTION INDICATING THE CITY COUNCIL'S INTENTION TO GRANT TO CITY MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY, TOP MANAGE~IENT, MIDDLE MANAGEMENT, AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES COMPENSATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 1975-76 RETROACTIVE TO JULY 1, 1975 WHEREAS, the City Manager, City Attorney, top management, middle management, and confidential employees are not represented by the two recognized bargaining groups within the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, said employees new salaries would normally begin for Fiscal Year 1975-76 on July 1, 1975; and WHEREAS, the City is still in negotiations with the Pleasanton City Employees Association regarding benefits to be given to the employees repre- sented by said organization; and WHEREAS, the City Council would prefer to establish all salaries at one time but wishes to indicate its intent to grant retroactive increases to the City Manager, City Attorney, top management, middle management, and confidential employees as of July 1, 1975. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Manager, City Attorney, top management, middle management, and confidential employees will receive compensation for Fiscal Year 1975-76 as of July 1, 1975, even though the amount of said compensation is determined subsequent to July 1, 1975. It is the City Council's intention that these employees would have received said compensation as of July 1, 1975, but for continuing negotiations with other employee groups and the Council's desire to establish salaries at one time. The City Council does not wish to penalize the City Manager, City Attorney, top management, middle management, and con- fidential employees from receiving benefits due to lack of agreement with other employee organizations and thus sets forth its intention to grant retroactive pay for the aforementioned employees when the same is determined as of July 1, 1975.
