~EEAS, <br /> <br />~{EREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 75-170 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING PURCHASE AND ACCEPTING DEED FOR PROPERTY ~NOWN <br />AS THE SEARS PROPERTY NEAR HIGHWAY 1-680 ON STONERIDGE DRIVE <br /> <br /> the City of Pleasanton is proposing at some future time <br /> to construct or have constructed an overpass of Highway <br /> 1-680 at Stoneridge Drive in order to connect the east <br /> and west portions of the connnunity; and <br /> <br /> Mr. William Sears is the owner of a 3.65+ acre parcel of <br /> property east of 1-680 and west of present Stoneridge <br /> Drive; and <br /> the acquisition of this property would be in conformance <br /> with the City's general plan, a determination made in <br /> accordance with the action taken by the Planning Commis- <br /> sion motion adopted at their meeting of July 9, 1975; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Sears has indicated a willingness to sell said proper- <br /> ty to the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEAS~qTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City staff is authorized to purchase the 3.65% <br /> acre parcel of property belonging to Mr. William Sears <br /> for a sum not to exceed $16,425.00. The property in <br /> question is more particularly described as set forth in <br /> Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br /> reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council accepts the deed to this property <br /> <br /> and authorizes its recordation with the County Recorder of <br /> Alameda County. <br /> <br />Section 3.
