CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-200 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION RESOLVING A WATER METER CONNECTION DISPUTE <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND ZONE 7 OF THE ALAMEDA <br />COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Zone 7 amended its connection fee ordinance for all new meter <br /> installations on January 1, 1975; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton collects the appropriate Zone 7 fee based <br /> <br /> upon meter size; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton adopted Resolution No. 75-57, wherein it <br /> was determined that the 5/8"x3/4" "special" meter should be <br /> considered a standard 5/8" meter for the purpose of collecting <br /> Zone 7 connection fees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been considerable dispute between the City of Pleasanton <br /> and Zone 7 regarding the amount of the Zone 7 fee to be collected <br /> for the 5/8"x3/4" "special" meter as compared to the standard 5/8" <br /> meter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has collected the appropriate and correct <br /> Zone 7 connection fee for all new meters which have been installed <br /> to date; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has only used the 5/8"x3/4" "special" meter <br /> <br /> as a replacement meter throughout the City's water system. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Resolution No. 75-57 is hereby rescinded. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City will collect a 3/4" Zone 7 connection charge in <br /> accordance with the District's Ordinance No. 72-1 as amended <br /> whenever the 5/8"x3/4" "special" or modified meter is in- <br /> stalled in the Cityls system. <br /> <br /> AS of January 1, 1975, the City will install either the <br /> standard 5/8" meter if ~he standard 5/8" Zone 7 connection <br /> fee has been collected or the 5/8" "special" meter if the <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br /> <br />
