WHEREAS , <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 75-227 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL PARADE ROUTES IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT <br /> <br /> the City of Pleasanton has been the location for a number <br /> of parades sponsored by groups from within the City and <br /> outside of the community; and <br /> in order to regulate parades, the City Council has found <br /> it necessary to adopt a parade ordinance (Article 14, <br /> Chapter 2, Title IV of the City of Pleasanton); and <br /> §4-2.1404 of said ordinance authorizes the City Council <br /> to establish official parade routes in the Central Busi- <br /> <br /> ness District; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> <br /> Section 1. The official parade routes in the Central Business <br /> District are those more specifically set forth in Exhibits <br /> A and B attached hereto and incorporated herein by refer- <br /> ence. Exhibit A establishes Route 1 for large parades <br /> beginning at Amador Valley High School on Santa Rita <br /> Road, proceeding along Main Street to Rose Avenue, and <br /> west on Rose Avenue to Pleasanton Avenue and the Alameda <br /> County Fair Grounds. Exhibit B establishes Route 2 for <br /> small parades with the parade commencing at St. John <br /> Street, proceeding down Main Street to Rose Avenue, west <br /> on Rose Avenue to Pleasanton Avenue to the Alameda County <br /> Fair Grounds. The staging and disbanding areas for both <br /> Routes 1 and 2 are set forth in the exhibits. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective upon the effec- <br /> tive date of Ordinance No. 771 (An Ordinance Adding <br /> <br /> <br />
