CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION N0.75-253 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE AMBULANCE SERVICE CONTRACT TO <br /> INCREASE RATES AND SUBSIDY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cities Of Livermore and Pleasanton and Alameda <br /> County entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with <br /> Allen's Ambulance, Inc. (Tri-Cities Ambulance, Inc.) <br /> in 1972 to provide emergency services to the Livermore- <br /> Amador Valleys; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing contract between the joint powers agency <br /> and Tri-Cities Ambulance regulates the authorized <br /> charges for ambulance service and establishes a monthly <br /> subsidy of $1,173.33; and <br />WHEREAS, the costs for ambulance service have increased with a <br /> resulting need for increased service charges and sub- <br /> sidy; and <br />WHEREAS, discussiom have occurred between the ambulance company, <br /> <br /> representatives of the joint powers agency and Valley <br /> Memorial Hospital (administrator of the agreement); <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an amendment to the agreement for emergency ambulance <br /> services has been proposed and transmitted to the <br /> City Council for consideration together with a report <br /> <br /> from the City Manager dated October 8, 1975; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council considered the above materials <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the mayor to sign on behalf of the City <br /> of Pleasanton the amendment to the agreement for <br /> emergency ambulance services increasing the monthly <br /> subsidy to $1,596.89 and allowing Tri-Cities <br /> Ambulance, Inc. to increase their rate structure <br /> <br /> <br />
