as <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-244 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE BYLAWS OF THE COMMUNITY <br />CONCERNS COMMITTEE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has established a Committee known <br /> <br />the Community Concerns Committee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, bylaws have been established <br /> <br />for said Committee; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, paragraph 4(b) of said bylaws presently requires <br />a quorum of five (5) voting members; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to certain reorganizations which are currently <br />being considered for the Community Concerns Committee, existing <br />vacancies have not been fulfilled, thus it is difficult to <br />obtain a five member quorum~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is recommended by the City Manager that the <br />bylaws be amended to allow a quorum to consist of three members <br />of the Committee until such time as a decision is made regarding <br />the Community Concerns Committee restructuring. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Approves the revision to the Community Concerns <br />Committee bylaws, paragraph 4(b) to provide that three (3) voting <br />members shall constitute a quorum for voting purposes and a <br />majority of the quorum should suffice to take any questions on <br />any matter required to be submitted to the vote of the Committee. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
