WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 76-20 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PLACING OF A CROSSING GUARD <br />AT BLACK AVENUE AND HARVEST ROAD <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of December 8, 1975, <br />received a detailed report from the Traffic Engineer <br />relating to the establishment of crossing guards at <br />school crossings thru out the City; and <br />an additional report by the City Manager was presented <br />to the City Council at their meeting of January 26, 1976; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, testimony both oral and written, including a petition <br /> and letter, was received by the City Council supporting <br /> a request for a crossing guard at the corner of Black <br /> Avenue and Harvest Road; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the establishment of a crossing guard at <br /> <br /> Black Avenue and Harvest Road. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes an appropriation from the City's reserve <br /> fund to pay for the cost of said crossing guard at the <br /> above location. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON JANUARY 26, 1976 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> Councilmembers - Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox and <br /> Mayor Kinney <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: EDWARD J.
