WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 76-2 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR AN <br />ASSOCIATED CO}~UNITY ACTION PROGRAM (ACAP) <br />GRANT FOR A SUMMER YOUTH RECREATION PROGRAM <br /> <br /> the Associated Community Action Program (ACAP) for <br /> Alameda County has certain grant money available <br /> to fund recreational programs for economically de- <br /> prived youth; and <br /> the Recreation Department of the City of Pleasanton <br /> wishes to apply for an Associated Community Action <br /> Program (ACAP) grant of $8,261.00, to fund a ten- <br /> week summer youth recreation program for 150 econom- <br /> ically disadvantaged youth living within the Pleasanton <br /> service area, and <br /> it is necessary for the City Council to grant author- <br /> ization for applying for said grant; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the filing of a formal application by the <br /> City of Pleasanton with the Associated Community <br /> Action Program (ACAP) for Alameda County of a grant <br /> request for $8,261.00, to fund a ten-week summer youth <br /> recreation program for 150 economically disadvantaged <br /> <br />youth living within the Pleasanton service area. <br />Section 2.
