CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />REsoLuTmN NO. <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO CANVASS THE RESULTS <br />OF THE MARCH 2, 1976, MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Elections Code Section 22932 requires the City Council to <br /> canvass the returns of the March 2, 1976, election by the <br /> first Tuesday after the election; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 22932.5 of the Elections Code authorizes the City <br /> Council to allow the canvass of the election results to be <br /> made by the City Clerk prior to the first Tuesday after the <br /> Municipal Election; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to canvass the results of the General Municipal <br /> Election to be held on March 2, 1976, within the City of <br /> Pleasanton. This canvass of the returns shall be conducted <br /> pursuant to Sections 18405, 18406 and 18407 of the Elections <br /> Code. <br /> <br />Section 2. Upon completion of the canvass, the City Clerk shall certify <br /> the results of said canvass to the City Council at its meeting <br /> of March 9, 1976. <br /> <br />Section 3.
