CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 76-71 <br />A RESOLUTION REGARDING CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS <br />WHEREAS, the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, §1-2.01, <br />provides for the establishment of City Council meetings <br />by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS. the City Council desires to inform the public of its <br />procedures for regular and special meetings of the City <br />Council; and <br />6JHEREAS, the Council desires to hold at least one special meeting <br />per month in various neighborhoods within the City in <br />order to promote greater participation by citizens in <br />local government and to promote better communication; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASAIQTON RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Kegular meetings of the City Council shall be held on <br />the second and fourth Mondays of each month, at 30 idest <br />Angela Street, Pleasanton, California, and shall begin <br />at v:00 P.M. <br />Section 2. If a regular meeting should fall on a holiday, then <br />the regular meeting shall be held on the next day at the <br />same time and place, unless cancelled by the Mayor. <br />Section 3. Special meetings of the City Council may occur from <br />time to time as determined by the Mayor or a majority of <br />the City Council. <br />Section 4 <br />Section 5 <br />The City Council shall endeavor to hold at least one <br />special meeting a month on a rotating basis within vari- <br />ous neighborhoods in the community. Exhibit A, attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is a listing <br />of possible areas and sites wherein special neighborhood <br />meetings may occur. <br />All meetings of the Cit;?
