CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 76-68 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT <br />FOR ABBIE STREET IMPROVEMENTS WITH GENE CALDEIRA, <br />GRADING AND PAVING, INC. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has sought bids on a project <br />known as the Abbie Street Improvement Project; and <br />WHEREAS, said bids were opened on March 16, 1976, at 2:00 p.m., <br />the City having received a bid from ten bidders; and <br />WHEREAS, the bids received ranged from $28,498.30 to a high <br />bid of $45,439.99; and <br />WHEREAS, the low bid was submitted by Gene Caldeira, Grading <br />& Paving, Inc., of Pleasanton, California; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of March 22, 1976, <br />reviewed the aforementioned bids; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Determines that Gene Caldeira, Grading & Paving, <br />Inc., P.O. Box 119, Pleasanton, California, is the <br />lowest responsible bidder for the Abbie Street <br />Improvement Project, with a bid of $28,498.30. <br />Section 2. Authorizes the mayor to execute an agreement with <br />Gene Caldeira, Grading & paving, Inc. for the per- <br />formance of the Abbie Street Improvement Project <br />work for the above bid. <br />Section 3.
