CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-63 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY STAFF TO REQUEST 291 <br />ADDITIONAL CONNECTIONS TO THE SUNOL SEWAGE TREATMENT <br />PLANT FROM THE REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br />dHEREAS, the Regional Water Quality Control Board San Francisco <br />Bay Region imposed a cease and desist order against the <br />City of Pleasanton's Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant on <br />April 24, 1973 by Order No. 73-27; and <br />WHEREAS, said cease and desist order prevented the City of Pleasan <br />ton from allowing additional sewer connections to the <br />City°s Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant; and <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the imposition of said cease and desist <br />order in April, 1973, the City undertook improvements ans. <br />repairs to the Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant in order to <br />eliminate the problems that had created the imposition of <br />the cease and desist order and also to abide by require- <br />ments of the Superior Court judgment in Morrison Homes vr:~ <br />City of Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 24, 1975, City of Pleasanton requested the <br />Regional Water (,?uality Control Board to amend its order <br />No. 73-27 in order to allow the connection of 541 single- <br />family equivalent dwelling unit sewer connections to the <br />Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant; and <br />WHEREAS, the Regional ?-ti~ater Quality Control Board, at their meetin <br />of March 18, .975, adopted Order No. 75-14 amending Order <br />It;o. 73-27 to allow 250 single-family equivalent sewer <br />connections to i=he City's Sunol Sewage Treatment plant; <br />and <br />WIiEREAS, the Cit7 Council established b~~ 72esolution No. 75-67 a <br />system for allocating said 250 ~:;ingle-family equivalent <br />sewer connection duelling units to the Sunol Plant; and <br />WHEY;EAS, on January 8, 1975, tine City ac;ain requested that the <br />Regional Water Quality Control Board allow additional <br />connections to the Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant identifi <br />in a letter of Lebruary 11, 1976 to be no more than 291 <br />additional sewer connections; and <br />6VHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of March 15, 1976, con- <br />. sidered a report by the City Manager of Pflarch 10, 1976 <br />regarding formalization of a request to the Regional Wate <br />Quality Control Board for an additional 291 equivalent <br />
