CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-61 <br />APPROVING THE NAME OF "VINTAGE HILLS PARK" FOR THE <br />3.9 ACRE PARK ON VINTNER WAY <br />WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission has held a public <br />hearing regarding a permanent name for the park site <br />presently known as Palomino Park (Vintage Hills area); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, direct contact has been made with all appropriate <br />organizations in the immediate area of the park site <br />concerning suggestions for an appropriate name for <br />said park. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approves the name of "Vintage Hills Park" for the <br />park site which is approximately 3.9 acres in size <br />bordering Vintner Way in the Vintage Hills area. <br />Section 2. Approves dedication of park described in Section 1 <br />above in memory of Bernard T. Gerton, former Mayor and <br />City Councilman, with a plaque to be inscribed and <br />installed in his honor. <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON MARCH 15, 1976 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Herl'hy, LeClaire, Mercer and <br />Mayor Philcox~ <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ATTEST: OBE T C.
