CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-113 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING <br />ASSISTANCE UNDER SECTION 701 OF THE HOUSING <br />ACT OF 1954. <br />WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton, recognizing the problems and <br />issues identified in the attached Application for Com- <br />prehensive Planning Assistance, desires to provide for <br />a planning study contributing to improved executive <br />planning, decision-making, and management capability; <br />to the encouragement of community planning and manage- <br />ment as a continuous process; and to the solution of <br />problems, realization of opportunities and the formu- <br />lation, and implementation of policies related to com- <br />munity development and growth; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has developed an Overall Pro- <br />gram Design and recommended the development of an or- <br />ganizational structure as outlined in the attached Ap- <br />plication to deal with these development problems and <br />issues; and, the California State Office of Planning <br />and Research, under authority of the Government Code <br />of the State of California (Section 34200) may provide <br />planning assistance from the U.S. Department of Hous- <br />ing Act of 1954, as amended; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton subject to approval of such plan- <br />ning assistance by the State and Federal authorities, <br />hereby authorizes the use of personnel of the City of <br />Pleasanton for services and/or other expenditures of <br />funds toward the accomplishment of this project which <br />will have a net estimated cost to the City of Pleasanton <br />of $16,650. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, TOO, that the City Manager of the City <br />of Pleasanton be, and he is hereby, authorized and em- <br />powered to execute in the name of the City of Pleasanton <br />-1- <br />
