CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-143 <br />RE: REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR HOPYARD <br />ROAD BIKE PATH, STATE PROJECT NO. 01-0012, TO <br />DEETZ CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. <br />WHEREAS, The City prepared plans and specifications for the con- <br />struction of a bike lane on the west side of Hopyard <br />Road from Hansen Drive to W. Los Positas Boulevard in <br />Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code X37900, et seq., the City <br />Engineering Services Department advertised for bids <br />regarding this project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is in receipt of a report dated June 9, <br />1976, from the Director of Engineering Services, indi- <br />Gating that for this project the bid of Deetz Construc- <br />tion Co., Inc. was the lowest responsible bid. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The bid of Deetz Construction Co., Inc. in the amount <br />of $19,217.35 for the Hopyard Road Bike Path, State <br />Project No. 01-0012, for the construction of a bike lane <br />on the west side of Hopyard Road from Hansen Drive to <br />W. Los Positas Boulevard in Pleasanton, is hereby ac- <br />cepted by City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br />Section 2. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with <br />Deetz Construction Co., Inc. for the improvements speci- <br />fied above. <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
