CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 76-177 <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN PACIFIC <br />TRANSPORTATION COMPANY RE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br />PRE-EMPTION AT NEAL STREET CROSSING <br />the City is in the process of performing a traffic signal <br />project at First and Neal Streets; and <br />as part of said project it will be necessary for a connec- <br />tion to exist between the traffic signal controller and <br />the railroad crossing protection at Neal Street crossing <br />of Southern Pacific Railroad; and <br />Southern Pacific Transportation Company has prepared a <br />contract for the performance of the work to be done with <br />respect to the above connection between the traffic signal <br />controller and the railroad crossing signalization; and <br />REAS, it has been estimated by Southern Pacific Transportation <br />Company that the work will cost approximately $700.00 to <br />perform; <br />W, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />SOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />ection 1. Authorizes execution by the Mayor of an agreement with <br />Southern Pacific Transportation Company with respect to <br />the installation of a traffic signal pre-emption circuit <br />at the intersection of Neal Street and First Street in the <br />City of Pleasanton. <br />ection 2.
