WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 76-190 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE <br />AN AMENDATORY JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREE- <br />MENT ESTABLISHING A COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY IN <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton had previously entered into a <br />Joint Powers Agreement establishing a Community Action <br />Agency in Alameda County; and <br />the cities of Piedmont, Albany, Alameda and Emeryville <br />requested the governing board of ACAP to expand ACAP's <br />jurisdiction to be coterminous with that of ACTEB; and <br />in the process of amending a Joint Exercise of Powers <br />Agreement certain amendatory changes were made to said <br />document to rectify deficiencies that originally existed <br />in said document; and <br />the City Council at its meeting of August 9, 1976 re- <br />ceived a copy of the new joint Exercise of Powers Agree- <br />ment together with a memorandum of July 21, 1976 to <br />the governing board members/City-County Managers- <br />Administrators, which explain the reasons for the new <br /> <br /> proposed Joint Powers Agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the Mayor to execute a Joint Powers Agree- <br /> ment establishing a Community Action Agency in Alameda <br /> County. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
