CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 76-184 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PIPELINE <br /> BY THE LIVERMORE-AMADOR VALLEY WATERMANAGEMENT AGENCY <br /> HAVING A CAPACITY OF 19.72 MILLION GALLONS PER DAY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency(LAVWMA) <br /> is in the process of determining the size of the pipeline <br /> which the agency will undertake to construct in order to <br /> dispose of treated effluent from the Livermore-Amador Valley <br /> <br /> and transport the same to the San Francisco Bay; and <br />WHEREAS, the basic project for the Livermore-Amador Valley consists <br /> of a pipeline having the capacity to carry 15.62 million <br /> gallons per day with surge ponds to take care of peak <br /> flows; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cities of Pleasanton and Livermore have indicated a <br /> desire to have additional capacity built into said pipe- <br /> line for the purpose of having an industrial reserve in <br /> said communities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council was requested to indicate its position <br /> as to whether it felt it would be better to have the ballot <br /> measure which goes before the electorate relate solely to <br /> the basic project of the 15.62 mgd pipeline with individual <br /> ballot measures for industrial reserve for each community <br /> to be voted upon in said communities or whether the City <br /> Council preferred to see a single ballot measure requesting <br /> a 19.72 mgd pipeline; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council deliberated upon said matter and was of <br /> the opinion that a 19.72 mgd ballot measure should be <br /> submitted to the voters for their consideration; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Recommends to the Livermore-Amador Valley Water <br /> Management Agency that a ballot measure authorizing the <br /> issuance of bonds for the purpose of constructing an export <br /> <br /> <br />
