WHEREAS, <br /> <br />MEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 76-209 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUMOF UNDERSTANDING <br />WITH THE PLEASANTON CITY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION RELATING <br />TO EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE PAY PLAN AND TUITION REIMBURSE- <br />MENT <br /> <br />the Pleasanton City Employees Association is a formally <br />recognized employees association in the City of Pleasanton <br />formed for the purposes of bargaining under provisions of <br />the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act (Government Code §3500, et <br />seq.) with respect to wages, hours and other terms and <br />conditions of employment for its members; and <br />the representatives of the City of Pleasanton and of the <br />Pleasanton City Employees Association negotiated a Memo- <br />randum of Understanding effective July 1, 1974; and <br />Paragraph lIE required the City to undertake with P.CoE.A. <br />the study of educational incentive pay plan and tuition <br />reimbursement for the purposes of making revisions thereto; <br />and <br /> <br />P.CoE.Ao representatives and the City of Pleasanton repre- <br />sentatives have made the necessary modifications to the <br />above plans; and <br />representatives of P.C.E.A. and the City have entered <br />into a Memorandum of Understanding dated September 7,1976 <br />which relates to the changes made to the educational <br />incentive pay plan and tuititon reimbursement; and <br />said Memorandum of Understanding was submitted to the <br /> <br /> City Council at its meeting of September 13, 1976; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the Memorandum of Understanding entered into <br /> between the City of Pleasanton and Pleasanton City Employ- <br /> ees Association relating to educational incentive pay <br /> <br /> plan and tuition reimbursement dated September 7, 1976. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> <br /> <br />
